Single Review: Rainmaker, Valleys

Single Review: Rainmaker, Valleys

North Carolina based progressive metal act VALLEYS has been hard at work in the studio recording a new album titled “Fearless.” Yesterday they released “Rainmaker,” a single from the new album. Deemed the heavier side of the new lineup, it’s a hard hitting track that encases the hard work they’ve put into maturing their sound.

Rainmaker combines their elements together wonderfully showcasing their skill in all areas. Vocalist Jayson Mitchell takes full reign of vocal duties (previously their main clean vocals) with finesse and a powerful scream. New additions, Nick Raimondi on bass and Will Shoe on guitar, shine on the track holding down their parts with proficiency and clean, thought-out pieces to the chaotic progressive puzzle. Robert Meikle on drums and R.J. Riggle on guitar are at the top of their game and execute flawlessly on the track.

The track is available on iTunes and Spotify.

If you’re a fan of Periphery, Betraying the Martyrs, and ERRA then you’ll love this single. Be on the look out for this band on the rise, with a new tour announcement including acts Krosis and Extinction Level Event and an upcoming album in the works, this is a band you definitely don’t want to blink your eyes and miss.
