Eyes Set To Kill + The Nearly Deads

Eyes Set To Kill + The Nearly Deads

Eyes Set To Kill and  The Nearly Deads are finishing out the Break Into Action tour here on the east coast, and stepped into Williamsport, PA for the first time this past weekend.

We arrived right around 7pm to a surprisingly empty venue. The show was really early, and actually kicked off at 530 with some local acts. The venue was the best we had seen it a long time- lots of space, great sound and lighting. We were surprised to see how low the attendance was at this one. Regardless, The Nearly Deads still took to the stage and gave us there all. They played a great set, especially for having absolutely no crowd participation. They have a new EP, Revenge of The Nearly Deads which comes out this Friday! Be sure to pre-order it and support them.

Eyes Set To Kill took the stage next- as the crowd shuffled back toward the stage just as they started to play. Again- a great band that gave us everything, but the crowd absolutely gave nothing! It was a shame to see such great acts giving their all and getting nothing back from a crowd. Performance wise, ESTK has added Tiaday Ball (of The World Over) as their new bassist. Additionally, the band has welcomed their long standing touring guitarist, A.J Bartholomew, as an official member. We were excited to see Tiaday perform, and how she could fill Anissa’s shoes. Right away she had issues with feedback on stage, and you could see the frustration on her face. The band had great energy regardless, and played through all their hits- except Darling. At the end of their set, it was clear this crowd did not deserve any kind of an encore. Our surprise highlight from the show is when Tiaday dropped the bass on the last song, and took over on vocals- and it is clear this girl has some pipes! She is going to bring a great heavy aspect back to the band.

We talked with Alexia shortly after their set, and she mentioned that they hope to have their new record out this fall. In the meantime be sure to check out their latest single Break, which is available now.

One date remains on the tour:

Thursday, May 25th – Nashville, TN @ Rocketown
