“May Death Never Stop You”

By: Ash Starkweather

My Chemical Romance’s “May Death Never Stop You” is the final chapters for one of the early 00s best rock bands. The band played an important role for all  “Teenagers” all across the globe, as they all came together to welcome one another in the “Black Parade”, creating a common ground for everyone.

The album starts out with “Fake Your Own Death”, which starts with a soft piano as Gerard Way comes in with the first lines “Some people watch, some people pray…” No surprise here, as My Chemical Romance has always had lyrics that come close to the heart. “Fake Your Own Death” leaves one singing along, disappointed knowing that is in fact the end for MCR. One can only hope that they have a reunion in the future.

There are also three Demo’s at the end of the CD- Skylines and Turnstiles, Knives/Sorrow, and Cubicles. With these being some great-unreleased tracks, they are not mastered and the quality sounds like it could have been out of your basement. Overall- if you are looking for one last MCR song, “Fake Your Own Death” is it. Along with all of the other hits that came throughout the 2000’s. A definite must buy on vinyl to pass down to every generation to come.
